The Programme for the Weekend

The weekend has been designed to provide a full but relaxed programme of writing whilst allowing plenty of time to explore the Abbey, the beautiful surroundings of Sutton Courtenay and the nearby Thames. Participants should not feel that any part of the programme is compulsory, and should take time out as they wish.

Friday 22 October

8.30pm Registration

9.30pm Introductory Session

Saturday 23 October

Breakfast may be taken at your leisure before 10am

10.30am -1pm Writing exercises

1pm - 4pm Lunch and private writing time in the Guest House

2pm - 4pm Individual private tutorial and master-class with David Constantine

4.15pm Coffee in the Guest House kitchen

4.30 - 6.30pm Workshop

9.00pm The Blue Nose Poets will be joined by the guest poet David Constantine to give a reading in the Great Hall

Sunday 24 October

Breakfast may be taken at your leisure before vacating your room by 10am

10.30 -12.30 Writing exercises

12.30 - 2 Lunch, private writing time & preparation for the reading at 5pm. The tutors will be available for informal discussion

2.15 - 5 Workshop

5.15 - 6.30 The programme will end with a five minute reading by each participant
