Blue Nose Residential Weekend Courses take place at the Abbey, Sutton Courtenay, in the Oxfordshire countryside. We are currently taking bookings for courses up to autumn 2000. Early booking is advised for the October weekend with David Constantine. For more information about

Philip Gross won the 1997 Blue Nose Competition with his powerful collection, The Wasting Game. These poems went on to make up the title sequence of his Whitbread-nominated collection published last year by Bloodaxe. Philip returns to read at the Blue Nose for the launch of the new Barbican Library sponsorship of the Competition.
The evening will also be a chance to hear this year's Poets-of-the-Year Competition winners presenting new poetry to watch out for.
